Your life was a blessing

Your memory a treasure

You are loved beyond words

And missed beyond compare

Dear Sisters,

Loss in its many forms often arrives like a shadow, uninvited, unsettling and leaving us vulnerable. Among the many expressions of loss, none is as mysterious as death - the ultimate unknown searching for meaning. With a nostalgic feeling, we stood around you dear Sr. Rosy watching you enter the gates of paradise along with Jesus. You left us as you lived.

Sr. Rosy was born on the 04.01.1949 in Mukkattukkara, Thrissur Dt. as the eldest of the family to a virtuous parents late Mr. K.P. Antony and Mrs. Mary. God's call came to her through the person of Sr. Susan Mary. Sr. Rosy made her First commitment on the 28.5.1976 and Final profession on the 21.5.1981. She was a teacher by profession and rendered her valuable services in different capacities in various places like Shahganj UP, Salem, Tiruchengode, Thalakkottukkara, Mangalore, Mathigiri and Madras. She has served as an assistant Novice Mistress in Bangalore and as an animator of Assisi Nilaya and Nava Jeevan Communities. She was a devoted, energetic and enthusiastic vocation promoter who loved the congregation very dearly and attracted many young girls to F.S.M. by her simplicity and friendly approach.

In the first week of August, she had complaint of, loss of appetite and nausea, since then, she was under treatment from St. John's Hospital. As her health deteriorated, she was put on a ventilator. On 1st November we shifted her to St. Louis Hospital, Krishnagiri. Sr. Rosy bid goodbye on the 4.11.2024 at 10.52 p.m.

Surrendered herself to God surrounded by the sisters, doctors and staff. Her funeral mass was celebrated By Rev. Fr. Arulraj, VG of Dharmapuri Diocese in the presence of many brother priests, sisters, family members and friends. Her mortal remains in the cemetery of St. Clare's convent, Krishnagiri. We thank Sr. Angela, Our provincial superior for her constant support and prompt decision to shift Sr. Rosy to St. Louis Hospital and providing her all medical assistance in her last days. We remain ever grateful to Sr. Jessy and community for their warm welcome and unconditional acceptance in caring the sick and suffering specially our dear Sr. Rosy. We cannot but remember with gratitude Srs. Dhanya and Hemaltha the two "Angels" who were awake all through the night and day to be with her. We thank the sisters of St. Clare’s hospital and school community for making necessary arrangements for the funeral service.

We give thanks for the countless ways Sr. Rosy has enriched our lives. We value and admire her kindness, sensitivity to the needs of the other, capacity to make everyone feel at home, small and little ways of doing charity to the poor and needy, her sincere love and sense of belonging to the congregation. She was very social that earned her a world of friends. She made everyone happy with her sense of humor and walked an extra mile to comfort others. Sr. Rosy was a model of love, compassion and generosity until her very last moment. Her mission has made a great difference in the lives of the poor. Thank you Lord for blessing us, with such a wonderful person that she is and the meaningful life she has lived. Today, we have lost such a precious and simple person whose life speaks volume to all of us. This vacuum cannot be filled by anyone. Dear Sr. Rosy, we miss you very much but we believe that you are with your beloved enjoying the heavenly bliss. Intercede for us and for the whole congregation that we may live our vocation to the full; being the credible witnesses of the master who called us.
